Services

Anacortes Rigging and Yacht Services performs partial and complete refits, yacht commissioning, and repairs. We provide yacht management services for racing and cruising vessels, as well as delivery/transportation of boats, masts, and marine equipment.  Anacortes Rigging owner Ian Sloan is a licensed captain with thousands of sailing miles locally and offshore.  We provide sailing/boating lessons for clients who desire personal training in their own vessel, as well as coaching for racing sailors.

Our services are as unique as our clients, so whether you are preparing for your next big race or for a cruise to Hawaii, we can help get you there.

Rigging Trailer

In 2017 Anacortes Rigging and Yacht Services moved our primary rope and wire work into a mobile work trailer. The trailer contains all the rope and wire products that we sell. With the trailer we are able to better serve all of Northwest Washington, as well as keep our overhead low and reduce the cost of our services. Look for the Mobile Rigging trailer at a marina near you!

Our chase boat also allows us to quickly and efficiently service all of the San Juan Islands without the difficulties and cost of the ferry.  We travel regularly throughout the US and abroad to sail and perform services on our clients’ vessels.

Yacht Management/Racing

Anacortes Rigging and Yacht Services manages the ICON racing program as well as the MiKEY Melges 24 racing program.  We are responsible for all maintenance, rigging, and delivery/transportation to and from racing.

ICON participates in regional NW races including Swiftsure, Southern Straits, the Van Isle 360 (1st place 2013), Oregon Offshore (race record holder), as well as smaller local events.

The MiKEY Melges 24 racing program competes on a national level throughout the US as well as internationally.  We have had tremendous success with the Melges 24 in 2013 and 2014, placing 14th at the 2013 World Championship in San Francisco, winning the 2014 Canadian National Championship in Victoria British Columbia, and the 2014 Pacific Coast Championship in Seattle WA. More recently we placed 2nd at the 2015 National Championship, and won the 2016 Canadian National Championship.  Plans for the future include the 2017 US National Championship in Charleston, 2017 World Championship in Helsinki Finland, 2017 US North American Championship in the Columbia River Gorge, and 2018 World Championship right here in Victoria BC!

If you are looking to get up to speed, we can help.  We know the Melges 24!
